Parsnip Seeds

Parsnip Seeds are a type of seed. When planted and grown, they produce Parsnips.

At the start of a new game, Mayor Lewis gives 15 Parsnip Seeds on every map except Meadowlands Farm. After that, they can be bought from Pierre's General Store, JojaMart, and the Magic Shop Boat at the Night Market on Winter 15, and they can also appear occasionally in the Traveling Cart. Additional seeds can be obtained through the Seed Maker, may be produced when using Mixed Seeds, and can be found in Skull Cavern treasure rooms. Opening a Mystery Box or Golden Mystery Box can also yield a larger stack of them.

Parsnip Seeds are one of the earliest and most common crop seeds in the game, and they are useful for completing early progression goals. Planting and harvesting at least one Parsnip grown from these seeds is required for the "Getting Started" quest.

• They are part of the initial farm setup on most farm types, which makes Parsnips one of the first crops many players can grow.
• Since they are sold by both Pierre's General Store and JojaMart, they remain easy to restock during the early and midgame.
• The Seed Maker and Mixed Seeds provide alternate sources if you want to avoid buying them directly.
• Treasure rooms in Skull Cavern and the two Mystery Box types can provide them in bulk, making them a possible source for free seed stock later in the game.
