Rabbit's Foot

Rabbit's Foot is an animal product obtained from a Rabbit with sufficient friendship, mood, and daily luck. It can also be found occasionally in the Traveling Cart, dropped by Serpents in Skull Cavern with a 0.8% chance, bought from Jas at the Desert Festival for Calico Eggs, or gifted by a pet cat at maximum friendship.

Despite its description, carrying a Rabbit's Foot does not increase the player's luck. Luck buffs also do not affect the chances of getting one, so the item's main value comes from its uses rather than any passive bonus. Because it is relatively uncommon from combat and animal production, it is often worth saving extra copies instead of selling every one immediately.

Rabbit's Foot is not used in any recipes and is not used in any quests, but it does have several special-purpose uses:

• It is used in the Sewing Machine to create a Shirt.
• It can be used in dyeing as a yellow dye ingredient at the dye pots in Emily's and Haley's house at 2 Willow Lane.
• One Rabbit's Foot is needed to solve the puzzle in Secret Note #20.
• Having a Rabbit's Foot in the inventory prevents a negative outcome in the Group 10-Heart Event.

Because it has a unique role in the Secret Notes puzzle and a one-time event outcome, keeping at least one Rabbit's Foot on hand is useful even after the player has collected enough for tailoring or dyeing. Its combination of animal-product sourcing, rare monster drops, and festival availability makes it a flexible item to obtain, but not one that should be relied on for any luck-related effect.
