Roots Platter

Roots Platter is a cooked dish made in the kitchen of an upgraded farmhouse or with a Cookout Kit. It is learned at Combat Level 3, and like other cooked foods it restores energy when eaten. The dish sells for 100g and has an edibility of 50, with a buff duration of 5m 35s.

Roots Platter is one of the more useful cooked dishes for players looking to make money from low-cost ingredients, since it is profitable even when made with the cheapest-quality ingredients. Because of that, it can serve as an early-game or excess-ingredient meal that turns forage and crop stock into a modest gold return rather than just a food source.

It can also be obtained outside of cooking. Roots Platter may randomly appear in the Volcano Dungeon shop or in Krobus' shop on Saturdays, and five Roots Platter may occasionally be found in a treasure room in Skull Cavern.

In addition to its food use, Roots Platter has a couple of crafting and dyeing applications:

• It is used in the Sewing Machine spool to create a Shirt.
• It can be used as orange dye at the dye pots in Emily's and Haley's house at 2 Willow Lane.

Roots Platter is not used in any quests.
