Rug (Square)

Rug (Square) is a decorative floor item found throughout the Facility. Despite its name, it is not perfectly square: it is slightly longer on one side than the other. The item has painted variants, and these appear as a set of colored square rugs.

It can be found in several places, including a pair on the second floor of the Furniture Store below a Coffee Table (Medium), beside a blue Modern Couch and blue Modern Armchairs. Another copy appears in Cascade Laboratories on Level 2 in Containment, inside the cell where Dr. Cahn is locked up, near the Unassuming Bell. In Residence Sector, it is located on the top level in the area accessible after melting the ice barrier.

When placed and in use, the rug consumes about 24 ml of water every 2 minutes during daytime in-game time, which works out to roughly one in-game hour. A fully watered rug can last for about 33 minutes of real time before running dry. Because of this, it should be treated as a water-dependent furnishing rather than a purely static decoration, and its upkeep should be considered if it is being used in a base or other long-term setup.
