Haglin's Satchel

Haglin's Satchel is a relic that grants additional orbs to the player’s deck and upgrades orbs at random. The item represents the satchel worn by the NPC Haglin and uses the same sprite as Haglin. It was introduced in the Big Content Bundle and received balance changes in v1.0.6.

When picked up, Haglin's Satchel randomly adds a fixed number of orbs to the player's orb pool, then performs a number of random orb upgrades. The effect is applied immediately upon acquisition. The exact quantities are controlled by the game's parameters {[HAGLIN_REL_ADD]} (number of random orbs added) and {[HAGLIN_REL_UPGRADE]} (number of random upgrades applied). In v1.0.6 the relic’s behavior was adjusted to provide two fewer upgrades than before and to give 50 gold in addition.

• The relic benefits runs that rely on orb variety or early orb scaling because it both supplies base orbs and improves existing ones through upgrades.
• Because upgrades are applied randomly among the orbs in your pool, the relic favors decks where many orbs are useful rather than builds highly dependent on a single orb type.
