Overview

Ambidextionary is a relic that increases the number of orb/pebble discards the player may perform during combat. It was introduced in the Demo Release and later had its description reworded in an unknown update. The relic's mechanical effect is expressed in game data as granting +{[ADDITIONAL_DISCARDS]} available orb discards.

Ambidextionary enables more flexible orb management by allowing the player to skip or discard extra orbs (pebbles) that would otherwise have to resolve. This directly interacts with any card or effect that triggers on discard or benefits from skipping orb resolution.

  • Synergizes strongly with the Orbelisk, because the additional discards let players funnel or remove excess stones/pebbles during a turn instead of being forced to resolve them.
  • Works well with cards and orbs that care about discards such as Is Dis Your Card, Critsoballos, and other discard-based mechanics; these effects can be triggered more reliably when more discards are available.
  • Pairs with reload-style relics and builds that cycle or refresh orbs, but players must be cautious: reloading can grant enemies additional turn(s), so timing matters when leveraging extra discards for powerful setups.
  • The relic’s name is a portmanteau of "ambidextrous" and "dictionary"; "ambidextrous" means to use both hands equally well.

Use Ambidextionary in decks that rely on discard triggers, orb manipulation, or heavy orb cycling to convert otherwise wasted orbs into repeatable effects or to set up higher-value plays. Avoid builds that punish skipping or that make extra enemy turns especially costly.
