Overview

Reorbanizer is an orb that reorganizes the order of orbs in the queue when used, allowing the player to move Refresh and other special pegs into more favourable positions on the Pegboard. It appears in the main game since Early Access and was introduced in the Beta; its maximum number of reorganizes was capped at 10 in v0.8.13. The item's name is a portmanteau of “reorganizer” and “orb.”

Reorbanizer is especially valuable for repositioning Refresh pegs that are stuck in awkward locations, a utility that becomes critically important by Cruciball 5 when board clutter and peg placement make manual targeting unreliable. It is also useful early runs before a player accumulates a large pool of relics that make triggering criticals and refreshes straightforward, because moving a Refresh peg into the line of fire can enable cascades and synergies that otherwise would not occur.

Practical notes and synergies:

  • Reorbanizer pairs strongly with the Duplication Potion. Duplicating a Reorbanizer setup lets you place multiple Refresh and Critical pegs on the board simultaneously, amplifying relics and effects that scale with hitting many refreshes or multiple critical triggers.
  • Relics that benefit from multiple refreshes or crits, such as Brassicaceae Knuckles, Critsomallos Fleece, and Critikris, gain significant value when Reorbanizer is used to line up repeated hits.
  • Strange Brew complements Reorbanizer+Duplication Potion setups by converting popped Critical and Refresh pegs into damage, solving the issue of having numerous support pegs without direct damage contribution.
  • Ambidextionary is a convenient pairing because its secondary effect lets you discard an orb without firing it. This allows deliberate choice of which orb to fire after using Reorbanizer rather than being forced to use the next orb in queue.
  • Shaft potions (Heavy Shaft Potion or Light Shaft Potion) further refine duplication builds by letting Critical pegs also refresh (or vice versa), improving focus on either damage or sustain depending on the build.
