Critikris

Critikris is an orb effect that deals area damage whenever any critical hit is triggered by your shot. Each time a crit occurs, Critikris deals damage to all enemies equal to a fixed multiplier times the orb's crit_peg stat times the number of crits triggered in that shot. In other words, the damage scales with the orb's crit_peg value and with how many crits are produced in a single firing; multiple crits in one shot multiply the payout per crit by the crit count for that shot.

Critikris appears as a critical-focused payoff option for builds that generate or reliably trigger multiple crits. It is not restricted to relying on Critical Pegs alone for activation: any source of crits—Critical Pegs, guaranteed crit effects, items that create extra crit chances, or orbs that crit on their own—will trigger the area damage. Because the effect hits all enemies, it excels in encounters with many foes and in boss phases where multiple crit activations can be stacked.

Practical usage and synergies:

• Maximize the number of crits per shot. The effect’s formula multiplies by the number of crits in that single firing, so combinations that produce several crits at once produce disproportionately larger refunds.
• Increase crit_peg on the orb. Critikris damage scales with the orb’s crit_peg stat; invest in Spinesse and other sources that raise crit_peg to make each triggered crit hit much harder.
• Take items and orbs that add crit chances or guaranteed crits. Special Button and Lucky Penny are efficient ways to add crit opportunities; Critiball generates many Critical Pegs and guarantees a crit when fired, enabling you to pick a high-damage critical orb for cleanup. Short Stack reduces risk when you rely on generated Critical Pegs.
• Combine with gold-generation and crit-propagation relics. Beckoning Crit paired with gold income can push Critikris to absurd numbers in some boss fights even without heavy gold support.
• Use refresh and duplication tools to multiply crit sources. Light Shaft Potion permits Refresh Pegs to crit, creating overlap with other crit-generating effects. Duplication Potion plus Reorbanizer (and Tactical Treat for creating Refresh Pegs) is a classic critical-heavy staple because it creates many crit-capable pegs; Strange Brew enhances Reorbanizer’s damage when used in such builds.
• Pair with orbs and relics that benefit from many-peg clears. Nimball, Ballad, and multiball effects scale well in builds that hit many pegs; Critsoballos synergizes strongly because it frequently triggers crits on itself and other Critical Pegs, and at higher levels it can be discarded to guarantee a crit on another high-damage orb.
• Consider mixing Refresh support. Refresher Course and Level 3 Allorbnothing play nicely in hybrid builds that use refresh mechanics alongside crit synergies.

Builds centered on creating large pools of crits and raising crit_peg produce the best results with Critikris. It functions as a true payoff for multi-crit strategies and turns otherwise underwhelming multiple-crit occurrences into significant all-target damage.
