Lucky Penny is a relic that increases critical hit damage by giving the player extra benefits when pegs are struck critically. It affects how much extra damage is applied on critical peg hits and interacts with orb damage multipliers and other relic effects that modify criticals. Lucky Penny is commonly used to amplify burst damage from critical-oriented builds.

Lucky Penny pairs well with orb and relic choices that already boost critical damage. Orbs with high base critical multipliers, such as the Daggorb, scale especially well with Lucky Penny because the relic magnifies the effect of each critical peg hit. Builds that stack critical-focused orbs or that deliberately aim for the three critical pegs gain disproportionate benefit from Lucky Penny.

Lucky Penny synergizes with other relics that trigger on criticals. The PegBag is effectively an alternate approach to obtaining extra rewards from pegs, and both Lucky Penny and PegBag can be equipped together for complementary benefits. Strange Brew increases the potency of Lucky Penny when a turn lands multiple criticals: hitting all three critical pegs in a single shot dramatically raises the value returned by Lucky Penny.
