Adventurine

Overview

Because the bonus only applies to the first peg each orb strikes, setup and orb routing matter: directing orbs to distinct pegs maximizes the number of upgrades applied. When an orb repeatedly strikes the same peg later in a shot, that peg retains the +10 boost from that orb’s initial hit, and repeated hits can produce very large damage numbers over longer fights as upgraded pegs are struck multiple times. Some slime-related or other conditional effects interact with upgraded pegs and can yield amplified results when combined with
Practical points:
- Each orb grants its own +10 to its first peg hit; Multiball and other orb-summoning effects multiply the effect.
- Bombs do not trigger the upgrade; only pegs (including refresh and critical pegs) count.
- Aim to spread orb impacts across different pegs to maximize the total number of +10 upgrades per shot.
- In prolonged encounters, upgraded pegs struck multiple times can produce very high damage spikes, especially when paired with effects that further boost peg damage.
