Big Fish

Overview

Practical notes and interactions:
- The bonus damage triggers on every peg collision by a qualifying large orb, so shots that maximize peg hits (ricochets and long peg paths) amplify
Big Fish’s contribution.
- Multiball interactions: only the first
Matryorbshka ball counts as a large orb for this effect; additional
Matryorbshka balls do not trigger
Big Fish unless they themselves exceed standard size per the game’s size rules.
Snowball becomes eligible only after it grows past the standard orb size; timing growth or acquiring
Snowball upgrades before shooting increases value.
Big Fish’s damage is added separately from orb elemental or splash effects and applies even when the orb’s own damage type differs.
- Positioning and target selection matter because the damage always goes to the targeted enemy; changing targets between shots changes which enemy receives the bonus.
- Combining
Big Fish with effects that increase peg hits (e.g., ricochet enhancers or slow orb modifiers that increase travel time) yields higher total damage output from the passive.
