Overview

Debuff Distractor is a passive effect that grants Ballusion when the player applies negative status effects to enemies. Each time the player adds one stack of a debuff to an enemy, Debuff Distractor awards an equal-numbered amount of Ballusion to the player. In practice this means applying multi-stack debuffs or applying multiple different debuffs in a single attack generates Ballusion proportional to the total stacks applied.

Ballusion functions as a temporary defensive/evade-like resource tied to negative-status interactions; Debuff Distractor therefore rewards builds and cards that repeatedly apply or stack debuffs such as Poison, Weakness, Vulnerable, or other negative conditions. It pairs especially well with cards and relics that apply multiple stacks per hit or that trigger repeated small debuffs across an encounter.

Practical notes and interactions:

  • The effect counts per stack applied, so an effect that applies 3 stacks in one use grants 3 Ballusion.
  • Reapplying the same debuff or stacking the same status in successive hits continues to produce Ballusion for each additional stack.
  • Use with area or multi-hit debuff sources to maximize Ballusion generation in a single turn.
  • Debuff-removal or enemy immunities to specific debuffs will prevent Ballusion from being gained for those prevented applications.
  • Because Ballusion is generated on application, timing debuff applications before enemy-turn defenses or before effects that cleanse debuffs increases the chance of obtaining the full benefit.
