Overview

Daggorb is an Orb in Peglin that specializes in dealing critical damage by targeting Critical Pegs. It is designed for builds that emphasize critical hit mechanics and increasing raw damage. The orb shares base damage stats with Eviscorbate but differs in targeting behavior and synergies; Daggorb prefers critical-oriented setups and pairs well with effects that boost piercing or the number of Critical Pegs on the board.

Daggorb performs best in decks that consistently generate Critical Pegs and amplify damage. Key ways to enhance its effectiveness include increasing damage through Spinesse or damage-boosting relics such as Complex Claw and Short Stack, and increasing Critical Peg count with relics like Lucky Penny or effects such as Critiball. Because Daggorb benefits from piercing, relics that grant extra piercing — for example Au Auger or Prime Rod of Frost — improve its ability to hit multiple targets or reach high-value pegs beyond its initial path.

While other orbs can sometimes produce higher critical damage numbers, they often carry trade-offs that make them riskier to use. Daggorb occupies the role of a reliable, consistent critical-damage orb without major drawbacks, making it a solid inclusion in conservative critical builds. However, its relative value declines as the number of Critical Pegs decreases; notably, Daggorb becomes much less useful by Cruciball Level 3 when only one Critical Peg remains on the board, at which point it can be reasonable to remove it from the build.

Practical notes:

  • Pair Daggorb with damage multipliers (Spinesse, Complex Claw, Short Stack) and Critical Peg generators (Lucky Penny, Critiball) to maximize output.
  • Give Daggorb piercing via relics (Au Auger, Prime Rod of Frost) to improve target reach and value.
  • Monitor board composition and Cruciball level; drop Daggorb when Critical Peg opportunities become too scarce.
  • Expect similar raw damage to Eviscorbate, but use Daggorb when its targeting and synergies better suit your build.

The name "Daggorb" is a portmanteau of "dagger" and "orb." Version history notes: introduced in the Demo Release and Early Access, with new art added in v0.5.56 and v0.7.28.
