Overview

Daggorb is an orb built around critical hits and direct damage. It performs best in builds that focus on Critical Pegs, since its value rises sharply when more critical opportunities are available on the board. To improve its output, damage-boosting effects such as Spinesse or relics like Complex Claw and Short Stack are useful, while increasing the number of Critical Pegs with relics such as Lucky Penny or Critiball makes it more consistent.

Although Daggorb has reliable damage and no major drawbacks, there are other orbs with higher critical damage that can fill a similar role more aggressively. Those alternatives often come with tradeoffs, however, which makes Daggorb a dependable option when consistency matters more than peak output. It shares the same damage stats as Eviscorbate, but their targeting behavior differs, so they do not always benefit from the same synergies. Daggorb also works especially well with added piercing, such as from Au Auger or Prime Rod of Frost, because that lets it take better advantage of its targeting style.

A few practical points stand out:

  • Daggorb is strongest when the board has several Critical Pegs and your build is already scaling damage well.
  • It becomes notably less useful at Cruciball Level 3, when only one Critical Peg remains on the board.
  • If it is not contributing to your build at that point, removing it can be a good choice.
  • It is a stable orb to keep around when you want solid damage without risky drawbacks.

The name is a portmanteau of “dagger” and “orb”. It was introduced in the Demo Release and carried into Early Access, with new art added in v0.5.56 and again in v0.7.28.
