Balleviation

Overview
Balleviation is an Orb in Peglin that trades raw damage for a persistent damage-reduction slime on any pegs it touches. It deals very little direct damage and is designed to mitigate incoming damage, making it especially useful versus ranged enemies and in situations where you expect enemy or environmental sources to strike your pegs after the shot. The Orb’s name is a portmanteau of "alleviation" and "ball."
Balleviation applies its damage-reduction slime more slowly than other slime-orbs (for example,

Practical notes:
- Pair Balleviation with relics that increase the chance to slime or reapply slime (for example,
Pumpkin π and
Electropegnet) to maximize the protective effect rather than relying on raw damage.
- Because its slime is applied relatively slowly, avoid relying on Balleviation as your primary slime source if you need fast, extensive slimes across the board.
- Place Balleviation as the last orb in a sequence when you want its slime to persist through reload or until the next player action.
- Use Balleviation to blunt predictable self-damage sources and environmental damage that will occur after the shot resolves; it reduces damage taken after the orb leaves the board, including self-inflicted damage from items like Rigged Bombs.
- Be aware that Balleviation’s low damage makes it a poorer choice for clearing clusters of pegs by damage alone; its value is defensive rather than offensive.
