Allorbnothing

Overview
Allorbn is an orb modifier that changes how an orb's damage is applied in combat. Introduced in v0.7.20 and receiving iterative adjustments in later updates, Allorbn alters the usual separation between peg damage and orb damage so that the orb's normal attack effectively deals no direct damage by itself in most circumstances; instead, its effect interacts with specific items and enemy mechanics to produce damage.
Allorbn's behavior was reworked at v0.7.23 and had its Level 3 effect fixed in v0.7.24; new artwork was added in v0.7.34. The core consequence of its design is that the orb's baseline attack contributes zero damage to enemy health under normal conditions because peg damage and orb damage are counted separately. This makes Allorbn reliant on synergies with other mechanics that bridge or combine peg and orb damage.
Practical notes and interactions:
- The orb’s normal attack registers as dealing 0 damage on its own in almost all situations; players should not expect direct orb hits to reduce enemy health unless additional effects convert or combine that attack with peg damage.
- Effective use of Allorbn centers on combinations that explicitly cause orb damage to be counted alongside peg damage. Items or abilities that merge or transfer damage types (for example, effects that make orb hits count as peg damage or that trigger on orb collisions but apply separate damage instances) will enable Allorbn to contribute to total damage.
- Specific synergies named in-game, such as
Glorious SuffeRing and
Swoltorb, allow Allorbn’s orb attacks to contribute damage because those items interact with the separate damage accounting in a way that results in actual damage application from the orb.
- Because the orb’s own attack is nullified by default, Allorbn favors builds focused on enabling or amplifying indirect damage sources: multipliers that affect peg damage, effects that convert orb strikes into other damage instances, or companions that trigger on orb contact without relying on the orb’s raw damage value.
- Consider Allorbn when designing decks that already include converters or items that benefit from splitting or reattributing damage; it can be powerful in niche combos but is ineffective as a standalone damage increase.
Allorbn remains a specialized modifier intended for players who plan around its unusual damage accounting and stack supporting items and mechanics that reconcile the separation between peg and orb damage.
