Flaunty Gauntlets

Flaunty Gauntlets is a relic that grants Ballusion whenever the player collects coins. Each time a coin_only is collected, the relic provides a fixed number of Ballusion stacks equal to {[COINS_PROVIDE_BALLUSION_AMOUNT]}. Ballusion from Flaunty Gauntlets is applied immediately when the coin is picked up, making the relic a source of frontloaded Illusion-style buffs that scale with coin acquisition during a run.

Flaunty Gauntlets interacts strongly with any build that generates or collects coins reliably. Because its effect triggers on each individual coin pickup, it accelerates the activation of other Ballusion-based relics and effects that benefit from having Ballusion early in a floor. Key synergies include Steady Scope, Redoublet, and Dodgy Dagger; these relics or items become more impactful when Ballusion is applied sooner. Wand of Skulltimate Greed doubles the effective Ballusion gain from coins when boss choices or other options make that the best route, and Mask of Joy doubles the relic’s benefit if the player obtained Flaunty Gauntlets as Peglin.

Practical notes:

• The relic’s value scales with how many coins you collect; runs that gather many individual coins or convert pickups into multiple coin events extract the most benefit.
• Because Ballusion is applied on collection, aim to trigger coin pickups early in a floor to enable other Ballusion-dependent effects for the entire encounter.
• Synergize with relics and items that multiply or capitalize on Ballusion to maximize damage or survivability gains.
• When playing as Peglin, the Mask of Joy interaction makes Flaunty Gauntlets substantially stronger; when not Peglin, the core benefit remains but some character-specific synergies drop off.
