Potion Ballt
Overview
Potion Ballt is a Multiball orb that converts into multiple slime-applying orbs when it is launched. It appears as an orb that initially "deals no damage" and cannot attack directly; its value comes from the status effects its spawned orbs apply rather than direct impact. The orb is commonly used in Slime-focused decks because every resulting orb applies a slime effect to pegs it contacts, making Potion Ballt a source of distributed peg-upgrades and secondary damage through echoes from upgraded pegs.
Potion Ballt cannot benefit from damage buffs or offensive effects while it retains the "Deals no damage!" property, so it should not be treated as a primary damage dealer. Despite this, peg upgrades produced by its slime effects still contribute to echo damage (upgraded pegs deal stronger echoes), so Potion Ballt indirectly increases overall damage potential through synergy with echo mechanics.
Practical notes and strategies:
- Use Potion Ballt as an accompaniment in builds rather than the central win condition; its slime outputs are random and unreliable for guaranteeing a particular slime type.
- Pair with slime-enhancing cards and relics:
A Good Slime upgrades many pegs at once when combined with Potion Ballt's multiple slime orbs;
Prime Slime increases both the number of pegs affected and the diversity of slime effects, amplifying Potion Ballt's impact.
- Increase Multiball count to multiply the number of slime-applying orbs produced. Relics such as
Matryoshka Shell and
Duplication Potion raise the number of spawned orbs and therefore the total slime effects distributed each cast.
- Because the spawned orbs apply random slime types, Potion Ballt is best used in decks that either benefit from any slime type or specifically capitalize on frequent peg upgrades (echo-focused builds, broad-control strategies).
The name Potion Ballt is a portmanteau of "potion belt" and "ball."
