Orbust

Overview

Orbust is an Orb found in Peglin that grants modest offensive and defensive bonuses when fired. Its name is a play on the phrase "or bust" and also evokes "robust," reflecting its design to make the player both stronger and more resilient. Orbust is a low-impact Orb whose effects can be amplified by certain synergies and equipment, making it a situational but valuable pick in the right build.

Orbust’s primary role is to provide small immediate benefits rather than large direct damage. Because its baseline effects are limited compared with many other Orbs, players typically seek ways to multiply its impact through party composition and items. Orbust pairs exceptionally well with Balladin that has the Balladroit skill; Balladroit effectively doubles Orbust’s benefit at Level 1. Equipment that grants extra procs when an Orb is fired further elevates Orbust’s value: Training Weight adds an additional Muscircle when you fire an Orb, and Essential Oil grants an additional Ballwark when you fire an Orb. Mask of Joy provides the same incremental benefit for both effects simultaneously.

Orbust also interacts with finishing-blow mechanics. If the player has Knight Cap, firing Orbust as the killing blow will guarantee an end-of-battle heal, turning Orbust into a clutch survivability tool at low health thresholds.

Practical points and strategies:

  • Use Orbust when you can stack synergies that multiply its modest effects rather than relying on it as a primary damage source.
  • Combine Orbust with Balladin (Balladroit) to double its benefit early; this pairing is one of the most reliable ways to make Orbust worthwhile.
  • Equip Training Weight or Essential Oil to generate extra Muscircle or Ballwark procs when firing Orbust; Mask of Joy achieves both bonuses together and is especially strong.
  • Consider firing Orbust to secure a killing blow when wearing Knight Cap to trigger the guaranteed end-of-battle heal.
  • Treat Orbust as a utility Orb that supports sustain and minor buffs; prioritize it only when your build can amplify its limited baseline effects.
