Overview

Oreb is a special orb encountered in Peglin. Visually it resembles a Pebball cracked open to reveal a geode or ore interior, which aligns with its name and visual design. Oreb was introduced during the game's Beta and was added to the main game at Early Access release. It was temporarily removed in v0.7.17 and later re-added in the Act 4 update with new levels and effects.

Oreb functions as a collectible orb effect that interacts with the game's peg and board mechanics. Its geode-like appearance suggests an association with resource or ore themes within the game's item set, and it is treated as part of the orb roster when generating orb drops and rewards.

  • When available in a run, Oreb appears among other orbs in chests, shops, and orb drops; its inclusion follows the same acquisition channels as other orbs added in the same update cycle.
  • Oreb’s presence in the game has changed across versions: players should expect it to be present in post-Act 4 builds and absent in builds corresponding to the temporary removal in v0.7.17.
  • Because Oreb was reintroduced with new levels and effects during the Act 4 update, its in-game behavior can differ from Beta/Early Access behavior; refer to the current build’s orb descriptions for exact numerical effects and level progression.

Oreb is treated like other collectible orbs for collection tracking and run planning. Its aesthetic ties to Pebball/geode visuals make it distinctive in the orb gallery and useful for quick visual identification during play.
