Overview

Rubborb is a bouncing enemy orb that appears in Peglin. It is the only orb in the game whose name explicitly contains "orb" (originally introduced as "Rubber Orb" and later shortened to "rubborb"). Rubborb behaves as a bouncy projectile-type enemy whose bounce effect scales with the orb's current level.

Rubborb was introduced in the demo release and renamed during Early Access to its current form. In v0.9.52 its behavior was adjusted so that the amount of bounce it applies increases with the orb's level, making higher-level Rubborbs significantly more reactive and harder to predict.

  • Rubborb's key mechanic is its bounce; expect ricocheting trajectories that can redirect shots and affect peg collisions.
  • Because its bounce scales with level, prioritize handling high-level Rubborbs early in a run or use strategies that control shot spread and angle to mitigate unpredictable rebounds.
  • Standard peg-targeting tactics remain effective, but account for altered ball paths after contact with a Rubborb; planning angles and exploiting bounce predictability when low-level can yield consistent clears.
