Haglin's Hat

Overview

The upgrade option causes Haglin to take the chosen orb and hand the player a different orb that Haglin claims is upgraded. The game presents this as an immediate swap and does not show any intermediate crafting or cost. The remove option makes Haglin take the orb from the player and add it to Haglin’s satchel; the player loses the orb with no direct reward other than freeing an inventory slot. Choosing No Thanks simply ends the event without changes.
Practical notes and interactions:
- The event is a placeholder-style encounter that predates the game’s full shop features. It effectively allows orb replacement or removal without currency cost or visible upgrade mechanics.
- The “upgrade” behavior is functionally a swap: the player’s orb is removed and another orb is given in its place. The exact pool Haglin uses to return orbs is not exposed in the event text.
- The “remove” option can be used to rid the player of unwanted orbs when inventory management is needed; removed orbs go into Haglin’s collection and do not return during that run.
- There is no apparent coin cost, cooldown, or further interaction following the exchange; the encounter is resolved instantly and play continues.
