Chipped Amphora

The Chipped Amphora is an Artifact that can be found by digging up an Artifact Spot in Pelican Town. It can also appear inside Artifact Troves, making it one of the artifact items that can come from both open-world digging and treasure-type rewards. In addition, Vincent sells one at the Desert Festival for 1 Calico Egg, and a pet dog with max friendship can gift one to the player.

Donating a Chipped Amphora contributes to the Museum’s total donation count. It is not used in any bundles and is not used in any quests, so its main long-term value comes from collection progress, museum completion, and its alternative uses.

Chipped Amphora also has a crafting and dyeing use through the Sewing Machine and dye pots:

• It can be placed in the spool of the Sewing Machine to create the Antiquity Shirt.
• It can be used as an orange dye item at the dye pots in Emily and Haley’s house at 2 Willow Lane.

Because it has no bundle or quest requirement, players generally only need to keep one for tailoring, dyeing, or collection purposes before deciding whether to donate or sell extras.
