Scythe

The Scythe is a basic tool and weapon used to cut grass, weeds, young trees, and moss. It is also required to harvest certain crops, including Amaranth, Kale, and Wheat. Every player starts the game with one Scythe in their inventory, making it one of the first tools available.

Using the Scythe works similarly to using a Sword: it swings quickly in a small area in front of the player and does not consume energy. Although it can be used to damage monsters, it is only a weak weapon and is generally kept for its harvesting and clearing functions.

A Scythe has several practical uses on the farm and in the mines:

• Cutting Grass on the farm while the player has a Silo gives a 50% chance to add 1 Hay to the Silo.
• Cutting Blue Grass gives 2 Hay instead of 1 when it drops Hay.
• It can clear weeds and other small plant growth without using energy.
• It can be used to harvest crops that specifically require a Scythe rather than a normal tool.

The Scythe itself cannot be upgraded at the Blacksmith. However, stronger versions exist and are obtained through progression instead of forging or upgrading:

• The Golden Scythe is a more powerful version found in the Quarry Mine, which becomes accessible after the Quarry is unlocked.
• The Iridium Scythe is the strongest version and is awarded after the player obtains Farming Mastery.

Because it is free, available from the start, and useful for both clearing land and producing Hay, the Scythe remains relevant throughout the game even after better versions are unlocked. Its main role is not combat, but farm maintenance and crop harvesting.
