Drillcone

The Drillcone is a mining building used to extract resource fields in space. Any material it mines is stored in the corresponding cargo bay for its state of matter, and collecting the drilled-out resources requires a storage module. In operation, it mines at 7.5 kg/s and consumes 1 kg of Diamond for every 20 kg of resources extracted.

Because of that ratio, a Drillcone can mine 20 tons of resources before it runs out of Diamond, which corresponds to 4.4 cycles of continuous operation. However, it will stop drilling as soon as its cargo bays are full, even if it still has Diamond left.

For the "Mine the Gap" achievement, 50,000 kg of Diamond is required. Since one Drillcone consumes 1,000 kg of Diamond per 20,000 kg of resources, this amount is enough to fully mine 1,000,000 kg of resources across the required runs.
