Lead Suit Checkpoint
Overview
The Lead Suit Checkpoint is a building used to control access to a suit docking arrangement. It must be paired with a corresponding suit dock, and the relative placement of the checkpoint and dock is governed by the checkpoint's orientation: a checkpoint requires a matching dock to be constructed on the side opposite the direction its arrow points.
The checkpoint displays an arrow indicating its facing. That arrow defines which side is considered the “front”; the required dock must be placed behind the checkpoint, on the side opposite that arrow. At least one dock must be present and associated with the checkpoint for the checkpoint to be considered properly configured.
Practical placement notes and reminders:
- The arrow on the checkpoint determines the mandatory placement side for the dock; always build the dock on the side opposite the arrow direction.
- Ensure there is at least one dock constructed and aligned with the checkpoint; a checkpoint without its corresponding dock does not meet the placement requirement.
- When planning a facility layout, take the checkpoint arrow into account early so that docks and traffic flows can be routed behind the checkpoint rather than in front of it.
- Multiple docks can be arranged behind a checkpoint if needed for throughput, but the essential rule remains that docks must be on the side opposite the checkpoint arrow.
Follow the orientation rule strictly during construction to avoid misplacement. The checkpoint and its dock form a paired unit whose correct relative positioning is defined by the checkpoint arrow; building the dock anywhere other than the opposite side of that arrow does not satisfy the requirement.
