Monument Midsection
Overview
The Monument Midsection is the stackable central component used when assembling a
The Midsection is intended as a customizable visual element rather than a functional machine. Its value lies in allowing players to personalize the look of a Great Monument by mixing different section presets or custom designs. Each midsection can be treated as a discrete unit that slots into the overall monument structure, and sections from different sets can be freely mixed and matched to achieve the desired visual result. The modular nature of the pieces means that the order of combined sections can be changed to create alternate compositions without requiring different unique assets for every possible monument style.
Practical notes for use and planning:
- Treat Monument Midsections as ornamental building blocks: they do not provide mechanical or resource benefits beyond completing the monument’s appearance.
- Sections are interchangeable. You may combine midsections with tops, bottoms, and other customizable pieces from the same Great Monument system in any order to vary the final look.
- Midsections are stackable. Multiple midsections can be placed vertically to change the height and profile of the assembled monument.
- Use a variety of midsection designs and orders to produce visually distinct monuments without needing unique full-monument blueprints for each variation.
- When planning space and pathing, account for the stacked height of multiple midsections and how different arrangements will affect sightlines and base layout.
By design, Monument Midsections offer a flexible, component-based approach to base decoration. They let players express stylistic choices through a mix-and-match system, enabling a wide range of Great Monument appearances from a limited set of modular parts.
