Overview

Biodiesel is a craftable resource tied to the Biobot Builder story trait. It is used to create biobots at the Biobot Builder, and each biobot requires 300 kg of steel plus the absorption of 9,850,000 units of Zombie Spores through the Biobot Builder.

Once produced, a biobot can operate for 10 cycles on its built-in disposable battery, which stores 180 kJ. When its battery is depleted, it automatically queues a deconstruction task; after that, a Duplicant can dismantle it and recover the full steel cost used to build it.

  • Biodiesel-related biobot production is only available when the Biobot Builder story trait is enabled.
  • Biobots are not permanent installations; they are meant to be used until their internal battery runs out.
  • The steel invested in a biobot is fully refunded on dismantling, so the main cost is the Zombie Spores and the time needed to set it up.

In version history, it was introduced in Occupational Upgrade, and its name was changed from kindness to medicine in the Launch Update.
