Brackene

Overview
Brackene is a liquid resource used and produced by several critter and plant-processing systems. It appears as a mass-produced wet material that can be created by processing specific crops in a Plant Pulverizer or by milking certain critters at a Milking Station. Brackene is commonly used as an intermediate in resource processing and as a consumable feed that affects critter happiness.
Brackene production is fixed by a few documented recipes. Using a Plant Pulverizer for 40 seconds yields 20 kg Brackene from each recipe: 10 Sleet Wheat Grain + 15 kg

Brackene is processed by the Brackwax Gleaner into useful byproducts at a steady rate: 1000 g/s Brackene → 90 g/s

Supplying Brackene to critters has direct ranching benefits. Critters that consume Brackene while housed in a Stable with a Critter Fountain gain a temporary +5 Happiness bonus, making Brackene a straightforward way to improve critter morale and productivity.
Practical notes for managing Brackene:
- Plant Pulverizer throughput and water requirements are fixed per recipe; plan water inputs and storage to keep steady production lines. Each pulverizer cycle (40 seconds) produces 20 kg, so multiple machines or buffer tanks are necessary for high demand.
- Milking Gassy Moos yields a large quantity (200 kg) and is useful when you require bulk Brackene for continuous processing by a Brackwax Gleaner.
- The Brackwax Gleaner’s split produces mostly Brine alongside a small amount of Brackwax and some CO2; provide adequate piping and gas handling to avoid pressure or pollution build-up.
- Use Brackene as critter feed only where the Stable includes a Critter Fountain to obtain the happiness bonus; otherwise, feeding may not grant the same effect.
- Because Brackene production often involves water inputs, integrate recycling or desalination systems if water is scarce to sustain long-term processing.
No other physical properties, thermal behaviors, or crafting uses are documented in the supplied sources beyond the production recipes, the Brackwax Gleaner conversion ratio, and the ranching happiness interaction.
