Water Geyser

Overview
The Water Geyser is a periodic water source that outputs water at 95 °C. Because it already comes out very hot, it is usually best reserved for heat-tolerant consumers such as Electrolyzers and Oil Wells, or cooled first with a Thermo Aquatuner if the colony needs it for ordinary plumbing, farming, or general storage.
Its temperature also makes it useful as a heat sink: if it absorbs enough heat from another system, the water can be converted into

Practical use depends mostly on whether the colony needs water now or heat management later. The geyser is valuable because it provides clean water without manual pumping, but its output temperature means it is rarely a drop-in replacement for cool water sources.
- Feed the output directly into heat-resistant infrastructure first, especially Electrolyzers or Oil Wells.
- If the water must be used elsewhere, cool it before storage or consumption.
- If the geyser is integrated into a heat engine, use the hot water as the working fluid for Steam production and a Steam Turbine.
- Two Geotuners can push the output temperature high enough to make this conversion easier.
- The resulting Steam Turbine loop still returns water at 95 °C, so it is not a cooling solution for low-temperature systems.
Because the Water Geyser is one of the hottest useful water sources in the game, planning around its temperature is the key to making it efficient. A colony that already has a steam infrastructure can treat it as both water supply and heat resource, while early colonies will usually want to route it through cooling or limit it to high-temperature consumers.
