Bouquet

Bouquet is an item used to enter a dating relationship with an eligible villager. Giving a Bouquet to a bachelor or bachelorette allows the player to raise friendship beyond 8 hearts and unlock the relationship progression needed for the later 10-heart events. It is also one of the requirements for triggering the group 10-heart cutscene for all available bachelors or all available bachelorettes, provided the player is unmarried, has given a Bouquet to each eligible candidate, and has seen each candidate’s individual 10-heart event.

If the final 10-heart event in one of those groups is completed with Alex, the group event in The Stardrop Saloon becomes unavoidable; if it is completed with Haley, Emily’s house will immediately trigger the corresponding group event. Each of these group scenes can only occur once per save file. They do not occur if the player is married, and they do not occur if a Wilted Bouquet or Mermaid’s Pendant has been given to one of the marriage candidates instead.

A Bouquet also has crafting and cosmetic uses. In tailoring, it is used on the Sewing Machine to create the Suit Top. It can also be placed in the dye pots in Emily and Haley’s house as a red dye ingredient.

When giving a Bouquet, it is best to do so before any other interaction with that villager on the same day. Doing so immediately removes any friendship freeze that may already be in effect, allowing normal talking and gift-giving afterward to award the maximum friendship points possible for that day.
