Furnace

The Furnace is a crafting item used to smelt ore into bars, which are then used in a variety of other crafting recipes. It is one of the first essential processing tools the player can obtain, and its recipe is unlocked after collecting at least 1 Copper Ore. Clint will deliver the blueprint in a cutscene the next morning; to trigger it, exit the farmhouse between 6:00 am and 11:30 am. The Copper Ore can come from any source, including fishing treasure chests or buying it directly from Clint. If the player has not met Clint yet, that meeting counts as an introduction.

To smelt an item, equip the ore or Bouquet and activate the Furnace while holding Coal in inventory. Each smelting operation consumes 1 Coal, regardless of what is being smelted or how long it takes. The Furnace is therefore a direct conversion point for raw materials, and its output is a core ingredient chain for many later-game items.

A few practical notes make the Furnace easier to use efficiently:

• It can smelt ore into bars, which are used in several crafting recipes.
• If the Furnace is destroyed while an item is still smelting inside it, the item is deleted.
• It occasionally plays the same sound effect as placing wallpaper or flooring.
• One Furnace is received as a reward for completing a bundle.

The Furnace is also the starting point for later furnace-related upgrades, including the Heavy Furnace, which appears as a craftable item in Mining Mastery.
