Recycling Machine

The Recycling Machine is a crafted item used to turn most forms of trash into useful items. It processes one item at a time and unlocks the crafting recipe at Fishing level 4. One Recycling Machine is also awarded for completing a bundle in the Community Center.

It can recycle the following items into new resources:

• Trash: 49% chance for Wood, 30% chance for Stone, 21% chance for Coal
• Driftwood: 75% chance for Wood, 25% chance for Coal
• Soggy Newspaper: 90% chance for Torches, 10% chance for Cloth
• Broken CD: recycled into Refined Quartz
• Broken Glasses: recycled into Refined Quartz

The machine cannot recycle Joja Cola or Rotten Plant. Because of this, it is most useful when fishing or digging up garbage and unwanted debris, since those items can be converted into basic crafting materials instead of being sold or discarded.
