Overview
The Torch is a craftable lighting item that can be held to provide light at night or in dark areas of the Mines, with a light radius of about 3 tiles. It can also be placed indoors or outdoors to provide lighting, and it can be walked on by the player. Compared with other light sources, it gives less light, but it has the advantage of being easy to move through and position where needed.
Torches can also be obtained by gathering them with a hoe, pickaxe, or axe. When a Soggy Newspaper is processed in the 
Torches have a few additional uses beyond lighting:
- They can be placed on top of Fences and Sprinklers.
