Survival Burger

The Survival Burger is a cooked dish that can be prepared in the kitchen of an upgraded farmhouse or with a Cookout Kit. Its recipe is unlocked at Foraging Level 8, and it is a profitable recipe because it always sells for more than the lowest-quality ingredients required to make it, including Bread made from Wheat Flour produced in the Mill.

It restores a large amount of energy for a cooked food item, and it has a sell price of 180g. The burger also has a cooking duration of 5m 35s. In addition to player cooking, Gus serves Survival Burger for free during the Stardew Valley Fair. If the player has not upgraded the farmhouse yet, 1–2 Survival Burgers can occasionally appear in Supply Crates on the Beach Farm.

Survival Burger can also be obtained without cooking in a few other ways. It may appear in Krobus’ shop on Saturdays, and 5 may be found in a treasure room in the Skull Cavern. Because of these alternate sources, it can be useful to keep at least one on hand if you want to avoid spending ingredients, especially early on or when exploring the mines.

• It is used in tailoring to create the Burger Shirt on the sewing machine.
• It can be used in dyeing as an orange dye item at the dye pots in Emily’s and Haley’s house.
• It is not used in any quests.

Since it is both a cooked dish and a dye/tailoring ingredient, the Survival Burger has value beyond its sale price alone. Players who want all crafting, tailoring, or collection goals completed should avoid selling every copy immediately.
