Feather Cape

Feather cape is a cape armor piece that grants a feather-fall effect, greatly reducing falling speed to 5 meters per second and completely negating fall damage. While falling, stamina is recovered, and holding the run key while airborne lets the player glide more smoothly at the cost of stamina. It is one of the most mobility-focused capes in Valheim, making it especially useful for vertical terrain, mountain routes, and safe drops from buildings or cliffs.

The cape can be upgraded to quality 4. Its durability and armor increase with each upgrade, while the crafting cost scales with feathers, scale hide, and refined eitr:

• Quality 1: 1200 durability, 1 armor; costs 10 feathers, 5 scale hide, 20 refined eitr
• Quality 2: 1250 durability, 2 armor; costs 2 feathers, 5 scale hide, 3 refined eitr
• Quality 3: 1300 durability, 3 armor; costs 4 feathers, 10 scale hide, 6 refined eitr
• Quality 4: 1350 durability, 4 armor; costs 6 feathers, 15 scale hide, 9 refined eitr

It also has fire vulnerability, and its Ashlands-era jump height bonus was later removed in the Bog Witch update in favor of Lightfoot Mead. Because it provides utility rather than raw protection, Feather cape is best treated as a movement and survival tool rather than a pure defensive cape.
