Overview

Refined eitr is a Mistlands resource used as a core ingredient in many of the biome’s advanced weapons, armor, and crafting stations. It is one of the key materials that unlocks the region’s magic- and precision-focused progression, and appears in a number of late-game recipes tied to the new black forge and galdr technology.

It is required for several important builds and items, including the Galdr Table, the Rune Table, the Feather Cape, the Mechanical spring, and multiple Mistlands weapons and armor pieces such as the Staff of Embers, Staff of Frost, Staff of Protection, Mistwalker, Jotun Bane, Demolisher, Spinesnap, and the Carapace armor and shields. In practice, this makes Refined eitr a central bottleneck for crafting once a player enters Mistlands content.

A useful property of Refined eitr is that when it is dropped onto the ground, it emits occasional sparks. These sparks deal 30 poison and 30 lightning damage, functioning in the same way as an operating Eitr Refinery. The sparks can damage anything that is not immune to those damage types, including creatures and structures.

This behavior gives Refined eitr a practical use beyond crafting. Dropping several pieces near Dvergr component crates can destroy the crates and yield more extractors without provoking nearby Dvergr, even if a Ward is present. It can also be used to destroy the Ward itself before manually breaking the crate afterward. Because the damage is passive and area-based, it is a convenient way to interact with Dvergr structures when direct attack would be inconvenient or dangerous.

Refined eitr is therefore both a progression material and a situational tool. Once obtained, it serves as the gateway to much of the Mistlands’ signature equipment and infrastructure, while also offering a low-risk method for dismantling certain protected objects in the biome.
