Black Core

Filled to the brim with ancient power.
Overview
Black core is a resource found in the
The number of Black cores in a mine varies widely because room layout is randomly generated. Infested Mines can have between 16 and 96 rooms, so some mines contain no cores at all, while others can yield more than 10. In practice, most mines contain at least two Black cores, but there is no guaranteed minimum.
Black cores are used to craft some of the most important Mistlands progression structures:
Black Forge: 5 Black cores
Eitr Refinery: 5 Black cores
Galdr Table: 5 Black cores
Because each of these stations requires five cores, it is usually worthwhile to raid multiple Infested Mines before trying to fully set up a Mistlands base. The hidden rooms in particular are the best places to search, since they are the most common source of Black cores. When exploring, check every side room carefully and clear the mine methodically so that no stands are missed.
Since their distribution is so variable, Black cores are one of the main reasons players may need to revisit the Mistlands repeatedly. A fortunate mine can provide enough cores for several essential stations at once, while an unlucky one may provide none, making careful exploration more important than speed.
