Overview

Blood clot is a crafting ingredient obtained from ticks in the Mistlands. It is most commonly gathered by provoking a Gjall and keeping it alive long enough for it to repeatedly spawn ticks, which can then be killed for blood clots. Because the Gjall will continue to attack while producing more ticks, this method is safest in a relatively flat, open area that gives enough room to move, dodge, and block its projectile attacks.

Blood clot is used in several later-game recipes, especially food and mead crafting. Its value comes from the fact that it is tied to Mistlands enemy farming rather than simple foraging, so players typically collect it while hunting Gjall or when clearing dangerous terrain where ticks are present.

  • A Gjall spawns ticks in groups of three at intervals, making it a reliable source of blood clots if left alive.
  • The main challenge in farming blood clots is surviving the Gjall itself, since its ranged attacks can force constant movement.
  • Open terrain is ideal; cramped areas make it harder to avoid attacks and to kill the spawned ticks quickly.
  • Blood clot is an ingredient in Mead Base: Minor Healing, strong.
  • Blood clot is also used in Uncooked Stuffed Mushroom, along with Magecap and turnip.
