Magecap

The delicate blue magecaps crackle like nerve-endings with sorcerous vitality.
Overview
Magecap is a
Magecaps can be planted with a Cultivator directly into cultivated soil in the Mistlands; unlike many other crops, they do not require seeds first. They will only grow in the Mistlands, so farmland outside that biome will not work. Once planted, a single Magecap yields three Magecaps after fully maturing, and the full growth cycle takes about three in-game days, or roughly an hour and a half of real time.
Magecaps are especially useful as a crafting ingredient rather than as a simple snack. They are used in several Mistlands food and mead recipes, including Eitr-focused meads and advanced dishes. Because of this, it is worth setting aside part of any harvest for cooking and potion production instead of eating them all directly.
- Gather them in rocky areas of the Mistlands.
- Use a Cultivator to plant them on cultivated Mistlands soil.
- They plant directly; no seed stage is required.
- One planted Magecap produces three on harvest.
- They can be eaten raw, but their stats are modest compared with other foods in their tier.
- They are valuable for Eitr-based progression and as ingredients in higher-end Mistlands recipes.
