Overview

Blueberries are a food ingredient found naturally in the Black Forest, where they grow on berry bushes and can also appear randomly in barrels outside Greydwarf Towers and in some Black Forest chests. A harvested bush yields 1 Blueberries and replenishes after 240 minutes of real time, which is also listed as ten Valheim days. If a bush is destroyed, it does not grow back, and there is currently no way to replant blueberry bushes.

Blueberries can be eaten raw, but they are most valuable as a crafting ingredient for cooking, mead, and certain decorative items. Eating them restores 8 health and 25 stamina for 10 minutes. They are also used in several early- and mid-game recipes, including Deer Stew, Queen's Jam, Tasty Mead, Minor Healing Mead, and Muckshake. Blueberries are additionally part of banner crafting, such as the Blue Banner and related striped or purple variants.

They also have practical value for animal handling: blueberries can be used when taming and breeding boars, making them useful well beyond simple food storage.
