Honey is a food ingredient and edible item used throughout Valheim in both cooking and mead production. It can be eaten directly for a small restorative effect, but its real value is as a staple ingredient in many of the game’s most useful recipes.
When consumed on its own, honey restores 8 health and 35 stamina over 15 minutes. This makes it a convenient early food, especially before more advanced meals become available. Its longer duration and balanced recovery make it useful for exploration, gathering, and keeping stamina topped up during low-risk activities.
