Large Discharger
Overview
Large Discharger is a building that operates as an independent electrical network inside the game. Rather than simply attaching to the colony's main power grid, a Large Discharger establishes and maintains its own separate power system when placed.
This isolated behaviour means the Large Discharger supplies and consumes power only within its own network boundaries; it does not share load or transfer electricity directly with the base's primary grid. Because it is functionally a self-contained power grid, its placement and wiring considerations differ from ordinary power buildings: devices connected to the Large Discharger's network will interact electrically with each other but remain electrically separate from devices on other networks.
- The building forms an autonomous electrical area; plan any devices that must receive or provide power within that area.
- Treat power generation and storage inside the Large Discharger's network independently from the colony's main distribution.
- When integrating with other systems, rely on game mechanics that allow controlled transfer (if available elsewhere) rather than direct electrical connection, since the Large Discharger itself does not become part of the primary grid.
