Battery

Overview

The Battery stores power generated by generators for later use. It acts as a buffer between power production and power consumption, letting excess electricity be saved instead of wasted when demand is low.

Batteries are most useful in power systems where generation is intermittent or where power draw fluctuates over time. They help smooth out short-term mismatches between supply and demand, such as when generators produce more power than a circuit currently needs or when several heavy consumers start up at once.

  • Place Batteries on a power grid to accumulate surplus electricity from generators.
  • They are useful for keeping essential devices powered during temporary production shortfalls.
  • Because they only store energy, they do not generate power on their own and must be recharged by a connected source.
  • A grid with multiple generators can use Batteries to reduce wasted production and improve consistency in power delivery.
