Cherry Sapling

The Cherry Sapling is a fruit tree sapling that grows into a Cherry Tree after 28 days. Once mature, the tree produces one cherry per day during Spring. Like all fruit trees, it will produce fruit year-round if planted in the Greenhouse, making it a reliable source of cherries outside of the normal season.

Cherry Saplings can be bought from Stone's General Store, and they may also appear at the Traveling Cart. They can sometimes be found in treasure rooms in the Skull Cavern, and one Cherry Sapling may also be obtained by opening a Mystery Box or Golden Mystery Box.

Because fruit trees require a long growing period and must have open space around them, it is best to plant a Cherry Sapling as early as possible if the goal is to harvest cherries in the first available Spring. The Greenhouse is especially valuable for fruit trees, since it removes the seasonal limitation and allows a mature Cherry Tree to keep producing indefinitely.
