Tunnel

The Tunnel is a small underground area measuring 33 by 6, accessed from the lower-elevation section of the Backwoods. To reach it, follow the road west from the Bus Stop and continue west through the Backwoods until the tunnel entrance appears on the side of the road.

The Tunnel’s only notable feature is a panel near its center that can be opened with a Battery Pack. Secret Note #22 points to the panel’s existence, and a Lost Book also hints at it. Opening the panel begins The Mysterious Qi, which eventually leads to access to the Casino.

The Tunnel is useful as a hidden utility space rather than a conventional exploration area. Because it counts as an interior, it can be used for objects that require indoor placement.

• Artisan Equipment can be placed inside the Tunnel safely, with no risk of villagers destroying it by walking through.
• Since the area is treated as an interior, Garden Pots can be used there.
• The Tunnel is small enough that its layout is simple, with the hidden panel being the main point of interest.
• Its connection to The Mysterious Qi makes it one of the more important secret locations in the game despite its limited size.

Although the location itself contains little besides the locked panel, it serves as an important step in uncovering one of the game’s later secrets. Once the panel is opened with a Battery Pack, the resulting questline gradually reveals more of the mystery tied to Qi and ultimately unlocks the Casino.
