Overview

Brutal Slayer is an enchanted sword variant of Slayer that trades consistency for scaling damage based on missing health. It is a melee weapon with strong slash damage and a special Bloodstone effect: the lower the player’s current health, the higher its damage output becomes. The bonus is calculated from missing health at a rate of 0.2% increased damage per 1 missing health, so the weapon becomes progressively stronger as the wielder gets closer to death.

Its attack pattern follows the same broad sword style as the base weapon, but with a few important handling notes. The primary attacks are fairly vertical and sweep through a wide area, making them reliable against groups in front of the player. The third strike in the combo is narrower horizontally, so it is less forgiving if enemies are offset to either side. The secondary attack is a long-reaching thrust that can outrange most enemies and deals very high damage, making it useful for opening fights or punishing targets before they can close distance.

Brutal Slayer is upgraded with Flametal and Bloodstone, and its slash damage rises slightly with each quality level while durability also improves.

  • Quality 1: 170 slash damage, 200 durability, crafted from 1 Slayer, 15 Flametal, and 1 Bloodstone.
  • Quality 2: 176 slash damage, 250 durability, crafted from 15 Flametal and 1 Bloodstone.
  • Quality 3: 182 slash damage, 300 durability, crafted from 30 Flametal and 2 Bloodstone.
  • Quality 4: 188 slash damage, 350 durability, crafted from 45 Flametal and 3 Bloodstone.

One notable property of the enchantment is that it resets any upgrades on the normal Slayer when creating this version, so the base weapon’s improvement level does not carry over. Because the damage bonus depends on missing health rather than a fixed threshold, Brutal Slayer rewards aggressive play and risky survival, especially when paired with careful spacing and the weapon’s powerful thrust attack.
