Military Cot

Military Cot is a folding field bed item used to provide a modest comfort boost for recovering Fatigue. It is described in-game as a folding military cot that is somewhat comfortable. The item comes in two visual variants (green and blue) and is intended as a quick, portable place to rest rather than a full replacement for constructed beds or sofas.

The Military Cot is placed instantly when used and does not change or override the player's spawn point. Its primary mechanical purpose is to give a decent comfort level that speeds Fatigue recovery without requiring construction time or occupying buildable furniture slots.

Acquisition and locations:

• Military Cots can be obtained as loot by defeating Order or Voussoir enemies and by destroying Military Radios.
• Fixed spawns and containers containing Military Cots appear across several regions and levels:
  • Manufacturing West: cave connecting the Surface Tunnel to the Mines (tents area); Mapping Center near the bridge and in a cement-bag room behind The Blacksmith.
  • Cascade Laboratories: level 2 garage and level 6 Control Center.
  • Hydroplant: Monitoring area beneath the Hydroplant Building and on the building roof where a Composer fights Crusaders.
  • Voussoir region: two cots at the base of the mountain, one inside each of two buildings.
  • Canaan region: two in the cabin next to the Fisherman and four in the hut where Lenora Riggs resides (near the Lodestone spawn).
  • Shadowgate: inside the facility, in a corner marked by a corn-husk doll on the wall.

Other uses and interactions:

• Military Cots are tradable: The Blacksmith accepts Military Cots in exchange for Steel Cable.
• Because they place instantly and do not affect spawn, Military Cots are useful for short-term expeditions, quick recovery between encounters, or when a full bed is unavailable.
• Carrying or storing extra cots is a reasonable contingency for parties expecting prolonged exploration or repeated combat where Fatigue management is important; the trade option provides an alternate value for surplus cots.
