Military Cot

Military Cot is a portable sleeping item that provides a decent comfort level for rapid Fatigue recovery. Unlike regular beds or sofas, it is placed instantly and does not require construction, and using it does not change the player’s spawn point. Two variants exist in game, a green one and a blue one.

It can be found in a variety of military, research, and outpost locations across the game world, and it is also dropped or salvaged from certain equipment. Military Cots can be obtained by defeating Order or Voussoir enemies, by breaking Military Radios, and by salvaging Cracked Shoulder Lights and Radio Packs. It also appears in several set locations, including:

• The Monitoring area underneath the Hydroplant Building
• On the top of the Hydroplant building, where a Composer is fighting Crusaders
• The cave connecting the Surface Tunnel to the Mines in Manufacturing West, where tents are set up
• The Mapping Center in Manufacturing West, both in the area with three Order enemies and near the bridge outside it
• The Mapping Center in Manufacturing West, in a room with cement bags behind the Blacksmith
• Level 2 of Cascade Laboratories, in the garage
• Level 6 of Cascade Laboratories, in the Control Center
• Two locations in Voussoir, one in each of the buildings at the base of the mountain
• Two locations in Canaan, one in the cabin next to the Fisherman and four in the hut where Lenora Riggs resides, near the Lodestone spawn
• Shadowgate, inside the facility in a corner with a corn-husk doll hanging on the wall

The cot can also be traded with the Blacksmith for Steel Cable, making it a useful item even when it is not needed as a temporary bed. Because it deploys instantly, it is especially handy for quick rest stops during exploration or combat-heavy routes, and its lack of spawn-point interaction makes it safer to use than full beds when you only need to restore stamina and continue moving.
