Kinetic Meteorite

Overview

The ability’s most notable change during development occurred in the beta: its effect was reworked so that it requires hitting three pegs before its full effect activates, where an earlier version triggered after a single peg. This makes its timing and placement more important than before, encouraging shots that pass through multiple pegs or use ricochets and splash to meet the peg threshold.
Practical notes and strategy:
- Because the ability now needs three peg hits to trigger, aim for multi-peg lanes, clusters, or use bounce angles that maximize peg contact in one shot.
- Combining
Kinetic Meteorite with ball-grabbers or glancing multipliers that increase peg interactions in a single trajectory enhances reliability.
- It pairs well with effects that increase chain hits (e.g., abilities that spawn additional balls or cause the ball to split), as those increase the chance of reaching the three-peg requirement.
- Avoid relying on single-peg high-value targets; this ability favors spread and sustained peg contact over one-shot bursts.
- The timing of when you pick up the orb relative to your shot path matters: collecting it earlier in a cascade gives more opportunity to meet the three-hit condition before the ball expires.
