Glass Shards

Glass Shards are an Artifact found in Stardew Valley. They can be dug up from Artifact Spots at the Beach, or obtained from Fishing Treasure Chests and Artifact Troves. Like other artifacts, they can be donated to the Museum, where they count toward the total number of donations needed to complete the collection.

Beyond their museum use, Glass Shards have a small but useful role in crafting-related systems. They are used in the spool of the Sewing Machine to create the Officer Uniform. They can also be used in dyeing as a blue dye ingredient at the dye pots in Emily and Haley’s house at 2 Willow Lane.

Glass Shards are not used in any quests, so players do not need to save them for quest progression. Because they are an artifact rather than a common resource, they are mainly worth keeping if the Museum has not yet received one, or if the player wants to make the Officer Uniform or use them for dyeing. Once those needs are met, additional copies have limited use.
