Jumping Joya
Overview
Jumping Joya is a plant that can be found wild and can also be domesticated in a farm setup. As a decorative plant, it is weaker than
A wild Jumping Joya takes 24 cycles to mature. When domesticated, it matures in 6 cycles and can be planted either in a downward Farm Tile or in a Hydroponic Farm. It does not need any water, so Hydroponic Farm tiles are not necessary for growth, but it does require fertilizer: 7 kg/cycle of
Jumping Joya grows only in a Chlorine atmosphere, consuming 6 g/s of Chlorine. It also needs temperatures between -25 °C and 50 °C and an air pressure between 25 g and 10 kg. Its decor value is -10 with a 2-tile radius, so it is not a source of positive decor on its own; its value is mostly in fitting into controlled environments where Chlorine is already being used.
- Compared with Sporechid, Jumping Joya is less useful as a decor plant, but it is safer in one important respect: it does not emit Zombie Spores.
- Because it needs no water, it can be a convenient crop to place in farm rooms that already have Chlorine available.
- Its Sand fertilizer requirement means it has a steady material cost once domesticated.
